In Luxor, all that remains of its glorious past is the temple that the ancient Egytptians built to the glory of Amon-Ra, King of the Gods and which they called "Southern Harim of Amon". Its construction was commissioned by two pharoahs, Amon-Ofis III, who started it and Ramses the II, who completed it. When the city of Luxor is mentioned it means this temple of Amon-Ra and Karnak Temple.
