The wedding of Tom and Rina was held at Jaro Metropolitan Cathedral on February 7, 2009 in Jaro, Iloilo, Philippines. A dinner reception followed at the historic Lizares Mansion.
"Palangga" or love is the tenderest word in Ilonggo (Iloilo dialect) . Among lovers or married couples "Palangga" evokes indescribable affection and devotion. Rina and Tom have plenty of it. Their married life is just beginning and the best is yet to come.
It was a special and unforgetable wedding ceremony and wedding reception. A first for my wife and me to witness a singing priest! The singing priest sets the tone for the whole wedding celebration that of joy, happiness and family participation. The reception was held under the festive lights of the Lizares mansion. The bride, groom, and guests danced under a firework filled sky, and danced with a group of folk dancers that clinched third place in the Dinagyang Festival.
We like to extend our heartfelt "Salamat Po" to Mama Alice's entire family, and to Walfrido and Maria Luisa de Jesus for their kindness and hospitality. In our seven day stay, you and have given us a true taste of Iloilo.
