These are faces of relatives, friends, faces of people I have met in my travel and may not meet again, and faces of children whose faces will change through the years.
My Aunt Hating - Her full first name is Maria Gloria Lualhati. She is the first cousin of my mother. Like my mother, we share the same middle name Alivio. She lived for a while with her son in Toronto, Canada. She spent months with her daughter in Gahanna, Ohio, and also several years with her daughter here in California. After spending years here in the US and Canada, and her grandchildren has grown, she chose to go back in the Philippines. She prefers spending time and having fun with my mother. Now she has many great grandchildren and no children living in the Philippines. My mother has passed away at age 88. Her children including immediate relatives, including myself, persuaded her to move back here in US. She was living by herself in the Philippines. When she came this year, she chose to stay with her daughter in California. She surprised a lot of people; she still does the dishes, cooks the meals, cleans the kitchen, goes up and down a two story home, and still eats pork rinds as a snack! I am not surprised because I go to the Philippines often. My Aunt is now 98 years old! Picture taken in 2005.
