LETHBRIDGE, ALBERTA, CANADA : I came to Lethbridge to visit a friend in August 2007. When I left California, I was thinking of mostly farmlands and big open spaces. I was right. I was thinking there will not be any photo opportunities in this prairie Southern Alberta city, I was wrong. Lethbridge is a beautiful city with very friendly people. Lethbridge is a small city with several culture venues. The river valley coulee is beautiful natural attraction. The Indian Battle Park is an interesting urban nature center with the impressive High Level Bridge as one of it's attractions. On the west bank of the river coulee is the University of Lethbridge, on the east bank is the Helen Schuler Coulee Center. The city is also only one hour drive from the Canadian Rockies and 70 miles off the United States border to the south. The people has a lot of community pride.

SCARBOROUGH, ONTARIO, CANADA : I persuaded an architect friend of mine in October 1974 to go with me on an architectural tour starting in Key West Florida, up the eastern seaboard of the U.S. all the way to Canada and down again to the U.S. It took us seven weeks zig-zagging the U.S. and Canada till we reached our destination Los Angeles, California. These photos are part of my collection of slides from that trip.

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA : Vancouver is a city located in southwestern British Columbia, Canada. It is named after Captain George Vancouver, a British explorer. It is located between the Strait of Georgia and the Coast Mountains. Vancouver was my home when I first came to North America in January 1967. I lived here for 3 years and 8 months. Vancouver is a beautiful city and is ranked in 2007 as one of the most livable cities in the world. Vancouver is tied with Vienna as having the third highest quality of living in the world, after Zürich and Geneva.

The pictures were taken in August 2007 when I visited old friends in Vancouver.
