Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park is located approximately 100 kilometres south of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada and is about 45 kilometres east of the Milk River Community. The park itself straddles the Milk River. It is one of the largest areas of protected prairie in the Alberta park system and has been nominated by the Government of Canada as a World Heritage Site.
The landscape is so different that I felt I was on a different planet but this is a holy place to the Shosone and Blackfoot Indians.
