A view from our restaurant of Monfort River.
A boy and a grown man fishing from Monfort River bridge. The structure beyond definitely was not designed by an architect or engineer.
The mouth of Monfort River in Dumangas town. In this part of the river you will see most of the oyster farms and sea food restaurants on the shore.
We ate at one of the restaurants by the bank of Monfort River. We ordered an all sea food lunch. The oysters, fishes, and crabs are all fresh. Thecrabs are fat and full of eggs. The difference between the crabs in the Philippines and in the USA is the taste and texture of the crab eggs. Those in US the eggs are toosoft and fishy tasting while the local crabs, the eggs are packed in almost solid and buttery with no after taste. On this photo everbody is showing their crabs cut in halves.
You have to look twice!
