Title: Chatahoochee River Boat
Medium: Transparent Watercolor on cold pressed 140 lbs. Arches, watercolor paper.
Size: 22" x 16.5"
Date: October 2012
Frame:Natural wood with mat board borders and clear acrylic cover.

Every Sunday at Spreckels Lake in Golden Gate Park the members of San Francisco Model Yatch Club, gather to display their scaled model boats and play with their remote controlled model boats. This particular boat named "Chatahoochee River" is so beautifully detailed. It shows the owners love and time spent in building it. I took a picture of this boat in 2006. Finally I was able to find the time to do a watercolor painting of it.

The original painting and prints are for sale at my other website FINE ARTS AMERICA"
The north-west corner of the building. Phot was taken from the West Garden with the twisted tower of the de Young Art Museum seen beyond. The cafeteria is to the right with the heated outdoor dining area.
An Albino Alligator, first time I have seen one. There are many more first time for me like the brown and blue geckos, the green frogs, the 100 year old fish, the rock turtles, and many more.
A sea horse. First time I have seen this type of sea horse.
This is the East Terrace and East Garden with the art work of Maya Lin titled, "What is Missing?"
The cafeteria is too small for the users, so they provided (temporarily?) a see-through tent structure to house the sandwich shop at the west terrace area, exactly below the art work of Maya Lin called, "Where the Land Meets the Sea."
You want to feel like a kid again? Then visit this museum.
There is an area where you go underneath the aquarium and be able to look up into it and see above you not only the aquarium but part of the Rain Forest.
I cannot get my wife off the aquarium. She said she gets a very nice feeling just watching those fishes.
