PHOTOGRAPHY & WATERCOLORS
A wild orchid growing on one of the dead trees in the canal.
At the intersection of the canal and Mekong River beyond
The main body of the Mekong River may be seen beyond.
We are ready to go through the canal from one end of the island to the other end out to Mekong River where we will change boat. Nga is the name of the woman in front who will be doing the paddling and the man behind at the back of the boat will be navigating the boat through this narrow canal. Nga is wearing the women paddler's uniform for the company who owns the boats.
This flat bottomed boat is bigger than what we were using.
The brown muddy waters remind me of the Amazon River.
A very pretty paddler. She wears the same aud dai as Nga, our paddler.
Navigating through the narrow canal.
The water palms line up the banks of the canal.
