Inspired by my first trip to San Francisco Bay Area in 1968 at Berkeley Campus. The young people's colorful Batik" clothing, their dreamy like movements, with the scent of incense and other aromas and the music playing ......."If you go to San Francisco, be sure to wear some flowers in your hair. If you come to San Francisco summertime will be a love-in there .........". The painting is framed in cherry finished wood with 3" wide mat board and acrylic glazing.

Title: Pine Street
Medium: Watercolor on cold pressed 140 lbs watercolor paper
Size: 13" x 19"
Date: June 14, 2012
Frame: Natural finish wood with mat board and clear acrylic cover.

One of my favorite view of the City of San Francisco is the view of Pine Street looking uphill. It gives the viewer a proportion of how high Pine Street goes up in relation to the financial district high-rise buildings. I tried to emphasize here also the shaded area of the financial district compared to the bright lights of the elevated areas beyond.
